	The global library community is exploring what will replace MARC-based copy cataloging as the cataloging paradigm of the future. While BIBFRAME stands as the most likely replacement for MARC today, this change challenges many existing library practices and interconnections. The [[ShareDoc:PublicDocumentation/LODPlatform\|LOD Platform technology]] implemented by the Share Family of initiatives is experimenting with new strategies to improve interoperability to bridge the gap between traditional cataloging workflows and emerging, collaborative entity management practices. 			Integration flows are in place both in input (from external sources to the LOD Platform) and in output (from the LOD Platform to external systems). This infrastructure maximizes interoperability, facilitating data exchange between a growing network of data providers and the systems driving core library services. Of particular importance is increasing libraries’ ability to use and contribute authoritative data and other collections data to improve discoverability and access to their resources.
